Many couples spend countless hours planning for their wedding and little time planning for their marriage. We all know that a wedding is a day long event, but a marriage is a life long journey. Hi Donna,
One of the reasons people avoid premarital counseling is because they already know the choice is not wise, but want to make that choice nonetheless.
Comment by Donna Doss on February 22, 2013 at 4:49am Thank you for sharing this, Latricia. You sure hit the nail on the head when you stated that many couples are so focused on the wedding, they neglect to to pay attention to the marriage. I believe premarital counseling is one of the best gifts a man and woman can give to one another.
In some circumstances, they may even learn that marriage getting married to that particular person at that time is not the wisest choice for them. They may even hit a glitch and learn that they would much rather save the oncoming train from hitting them by not getting on the train, yet remaining life long dear friends ... but released to pursue life separately.
Again, thank you for sharing. You have given us something to be considered that today's society no longer views as necessary.
